Email, voicemail, Instant Messaging, LinkedIn and Facebook. Every day there is something new to use. Exciting but exhausting sometimes it’s a full time job…and well into the night. How do you determine which collaboration or social media tool to use?
Use what works for you! If you can’t manage more than one tool then choose one. If you can manage 2-3 go for it. However, make sure you keep these nifty items current and active. One editor told us he hadn’t looked at his Facebook for several weeks and missed BBQs, tradeshow dinners and worst case his wedding anniversary….ouch.
We use LinkedIn a great deal. Not only is it a great place to connect with industry friends, make new introductions but it’s fantastic for posting thought provoking questions and hiring too.
So the bottom line is – choose the right social media tool for you.
