Every year the Silicon Valley San Jose Business Journal selects 100 influential women in the private and public sector to salute.
This year Donna Michaels, founder of the Loughlin/Michaels Group was honored and was featured on our blog. Click here to view the article.
We have also had three clients honored in the past including Sally Adelus of the Hospice of the Valley, Bethany Mayer of Blue Coat Systems and Veena Gundavelli of Emagia.
Since James McGregor took the reins as publisher in 2007, the Business Journal has challenged the Mercury News, San Francisco Chronicle and other bay area papers in covering the pulse of the Silicon Valley. The Women of Influence Event has become a very popular casting call of who’s who in the Silicon Valley.
Last week Donna Michaels had the privilege of attending a publishers dinner with 2008 and 2009 honorees at the Capital Club. Attending were leaders from financial, educational, sporting, medical, legal and non-profit sectors. One of the most interesting women of influence at Donna Michaels table was Ysabel Duron journalist of KRON TV 4 and President of the board of Las Isabelas. Her leadership role as journalist and advocate for women in the Latino community is admirable as she juggles professional and non-profit work with a zest for life.
McGregor shared his goal of honoring 100 new women each year which we think is very exciting. Entries for the 2010 Women of Influence will go live shortly. We have a few women leaders in mind for this year’s entries. Who’s your women of influence?
