Rhomobile is a leading provider of next generation enterprise mobility solutions to help developers create and integrate their mobile apps via its open source framework. The company had an established following within the developer community and had favorable press with the developer trade media. However, the company had no real perception with business press and verticals. In 2010, LMGPR began a comprehensive thought-leadership/mindshare PR campaign to not only increase visibility in other key areas, but to crowd competitors as well. As a result, we garnered results across traditional media, Twitter, video and speaking engagements.
As a startup, Rhomobile and its founder Adam Blum already had good visibility among the mobile developer community and were perceived as leaders in this category. However, the company was not known as a thought leader outside of the developer community and pubs. LMGPR was hired to promote the company’s expertise in enterprise mobility, position Rhomobile’s founder, Adam Blum, as an industry luminary, increase coverage and ultimately elevate the company to a thought-leadership position./p>

The program included developing a series of thought-provoking topics the company’s experts could address with the media, analysts and greater community. Key program strategies included an aggressive speaker’s bureau campaign and a blend of traditional and new media tools, as well as regularly monitoring industry trends and stories to engage in Rapid Relevant Response on behalf of Rhomobile.
Since LMGPR assumed PR responsibilities on behalf of Rhomobile, the company has moved from being a product innovator to a true market leader. Through a well-executed PR program, Rhomobile became a high profile, up and coming company in the enterprise mobility space and was featured in several blue chip publications such as Forbes, VentureBeat and key industry publications including Wireless Week. Notably, eWeek proclaimed Rhomobile as one of the “10 Promising Mobile IT Startups to Watch” and its Rhodes solutions won InfoWorld’s 2012 Technology of the Year Award.
As Rhomobile continued to increase its industry presence with feature coverage in mobile, IT and vertical publications, Founder and CEO Adam Blum became a sought after expert on Near Field Communications (NFC). In May 2011, LMPGR successfully executed a Rapid Relevant Response approach to position Adam Blum as an expert to comment on Google’s announcement regarding Google Wallet and NFC capabilities. As a result of our outreach, Adam Blum appeared in Bloomberg West TV, NBC Bay Area, and wrote a guest column for VentureBeat. Rhomobile’s increased visibility has created a solid analyst following including endorsements from IDG, Aberdeen, Forrester, Enterprise Management Associates, Enderle Group and Gartner. The infusion of editorial and analyst coverage has increased the company’s visibility with funding prospects, customers and technology partners. Through LMGPR’s consistent public relations programs, Rhomobile moved from a technology innovator into a market leader, ultimately leading to its acquisition by Motorola Mobility Solutions in September 2011.
