SUNNYVALE, Calif., — The Loughlin/Michaels Group, an award-winning public relations agency, today announced the expansion of its client portfolio to include The Forum for Women Entrepreneurs & Executives (FWE&E), a non-profit forum created for women leaders to collaborate and foster relationships and expertise among members. The Loughlin/Michaels Group was selected to lead the Forum’s public relations program based on their non-profit experience and breadth of market expertise and network.

“We are excited to work with the Loughlin/Michaels Group to raise our visibility and voice in the market to attract more experienced women leaders to our organization,” said Wendy Beecham, chief executive officer of FWE&E. “Their previous work with non-profits, network of professionals and media, coupled with their creativity, made them an obvious choice to work with.”

According to Catalyst research women hold less than 15 percent of the seats on Fortune 500 corporate boards and only 15 women are CEOs at Fortune 500 companies. As a result, there is a great need for resources for women to expand their horizons and broaden their perspectives by facilitating collaboration and fostering deep connections. Founded in 1993 and more than 450 members strong, The Forum for Women Entrepreneurs & Executives was created for exceptional women leaders to share ideas and enhance their impact within disciplines across industries and around the world.

The Board of Directors for FWE&E includes:

  • Connie Adair, CEO, Taylor Winfield, Inc.
  • Jacqueline Akerblom, National Managing Partner, Women’s Initiatives and Programs, Grant Thornton LLP
  • Shelley Archambeau, CEO, MetricStream
  • Wendy Beecham, CEO, Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives
  • Gayle Crowell, Warburg Pincus
  • Wendy Lea, CEO, Get Satisfaction
  • Bethany Mayer, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and Corporate Development, Blue Coat

  • Allison Leopold Tilley, Partner, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP
  • Karen Willem, CFO, Openwave

  • Connie Adair, CEO, Taylor Winfield, Inc.

“As a member of FWE&E I understand the value and the impact the organization is making for women leaders, the community and businesses,” said Donna Michaels, president and founder of the Loughlin/Michaels Group. “We are pleased to be working with them to increase their visibility and share their success to date.”

The Forum for Women Entrepreneurs & Executives next major industry event is the 2009 Annual Achievement Award Dinner. With the theme “Pearls of Wisdom,” the event will honor Padmasree Warrior, Cisco’s Chief Technology Officer.
